An aspiring filmmaker Daniel is passionate about storytelling in all its forms. Loyal, adventurous and creative, Daniel is a massive fan of history literature, and mythology from around the world. A self-described nomad he is always on the move and always learning. 

Daniel Gbadebo Smith was born in London on May 27th, 1993. He currently lives between Accra Ghana, Kampala Uganda, and Nairobi Kenya.

He studied networking and I.T in 2011 at NIIT in Lagos Nigeria. In 2012 he studied Mandarin and Chinese culture at Tianjin University in Tianjin China.  

In addition, he studied Business Administration Mandarin and IT at USIU in Nairobi Kenya in 2015.

As a freelancer, from 2014 – 2015 Daniel was the procurement officer, lead production, and travel assistant on the Disney film Queen of Katwe’s Kampala production.  Daniel worked as a production designer and production coordinator for Kampala fashion week for four years from 2009 – to 2015. He worked as an artist and art and music curator in Kampala Uganda from 2014 – to 2020.

Since 2021 he has been living and working in Accra for Refined Creative as location scout, production assistant, researcher, and sound technician.
